SNC SHRM Onto the Next Year

Hi All SHRM members,

Our SHRM chapter has had another successful year. Once again we’re on track to receive the Superior Merit Award for the 14th straight year. We have the SHRM Annual Conference in New Orleans coming up from June 17th – June 21st. This conference can help you learn new skills and stay up-to-date on the latest and greatest HR practices. We also have a Miller Park tour coming up on April 28th!

As well a great E-board this year, we also had a great SHRM group overall. We have had a wonderful turn out for all our speakers this year and the topics have been very relevant! If you have not yet made it to a speaker, no need to worry! We have 2 speakers left! April 11th: Jill Dequaine –  A Day in the Life of HR and April 25th: Nicole Hartlaben – TBD. We are always looking for new members and if you are not sure what SHRM is, come to one of our meetings!

We are looking for some new E-board members as some of our seniors are graduating this spring. Treasurer and VP of Membership will be available in Fall 2017. SNC SHRM Year is Coming to an End!

Hello all SHRM Members,

This year has been a delight as usual. This year sure has been one to remember. Overall, it has been a success because of the contributions each member has brought to the table. Whether it was coming to SHRM meetings, going to the state conference, competing in the HR games in Whitewater, attending the Cerebral Palsy Telethon held at WBAY News Center, or attending the plant tour which was at Schneider. If you participated in one of these events you have definitely learned something new and have developed a better understanding of what SHRM is.

Anyways as many of you know elections are at our next SNC SHRM meeting which is on Monday April, 13. All positions will be open so please take time to think about if you would like to be a member on the E-Board. This sure will look good on a resume so keep that in mind. Positions are as follows: President, Vice President, Vice President of Membership, Vice President of Fundraising and Accounts (Treasurer), and Vice President of Programs and Publicity/Webmaster. Lastly, our Adviser for the club is Professor Matthew Stollak. Click on the link below to access what each position entails. Any other questions please contact Professor Stollak via email at matthew.stollak@snc.edu.
